Cruise Industry Employment Practices
Posted in: Employment,Travel by admin on July 31, 2011
Due to its rapid expansion cruise industry requires more and more staff to work onboard, particularly young people with different nationalities. There are also plenty of specialized cruise ships which require highly trained and experienced staff.
Cruise industry is famous for its high staff turnover. The reasons for a high turnover can be varied. For example: workers might not expect long hours of work or the working environment and the job they actually have to do. In order to avoid this, cruise companies should provide complete and unbiased job descriptions.
Working schedules are varied but depend on the type of ship and length of voyage. Once you are working onboard, shifts are operated on a rotating ‘watch keeping’ basis, which works during a 24 hour period. Each duty is normally 4 hours in duration, for example, 0800-1200, or 1200-1600. But staff from the deck and engineering departments normally works on two 4-hour watches for one shift.
Recruiting the right people is a very important procedure, as it ensures the service can run smoothly in the future. There are several ways of recruiting staff. Some companies act as a form of introductory agent recruiting cruise liner staff. Having a good qualification would be an advantage whereby training is essential. There are many departments these trainees can work in, for example, front of house, administration, food and beverage, entertainment, etc.

Instead of the items turning into waste product, they can be transformed into different items and materials. The generic steps of recycling include collecting the plastic and glass containers and the newspapers. The local waste management company usually comes around to the houses and picks up your unwanted recyclables.
There are many different benefits to recycling your unwanted products. The first benefit and the most important is that it saves energy. It will also keep the environment healthy for the future generations to come. We all want our children and their children to be able to enjoy the natural resources. By recycling, we can preserve the forests and other resources so they have the chance to enjoy them in the future.
The first step is to collect different items that can be recycled. Once you have collected some products they need to be sorted into different categories. The next step is to manufacture them. Then they can be sold as recycled products. Some major items that have been recycled over they years are tires. Once you vehicle tires are worn out, instead of throwing them in the garbage, you can recycle them. These tires are then chopped up into pieces and either used to make new tires or a substitute for mulch. If you want to do your part in preserving the natural resources, you can recycle your unwanted plastic, glass and paper.

Once explorer Christopher Columbus reported seeing “A great fire in the Orotava Valley…”; when he sailed past the Tenerife on his voyage to discover the New World in 1492. This was construed as indicating that he had witnessed an eruption in the Orotava Valley.
Mount Teide or, in Spanish, El Teide, is a dormant volcano which had last erupted in 1909 from the El Chinyero vent on the Santiago (northwestern) rift and is located on Tenerife, Canary Islands. The volcano and its milieu comprises of the Teide National Park (Parque Nacional del Teide in Spanish). The park covers an huge area and was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on June 29, 2007.
The island of Tenerife is the third largest volcanic ocean island on Earth by magnitude. Teide is also the third maximum volcano on a volcanic ocean island. Teide jointly with its neighbor Pico Viejo and Montaña Blanca shape the Central Volcanic Complex.
El Pico Del Teide (The Peak of Teide) is the contemporary Spanish name acknowledged to the volcano. The Lunar mountain, Mons Pico, part of the Montes Teneriffe mountain range, positioned in the internal loop of the lunar mare Imbrium, was designated after this 18th Century description by Johann Schröter. Past to the 1495 Spanish colonization of Tenerife, the native Guanches identify the volcano as Echeyde. Echeyde, in the Guanches mythology, meant some type of influential figure parting the volcano that possibly will change into hell.
Teide is considered to be unstable and has a distinctive bulge on its northern flank. This bulge is not believed to be associated with an influx of magma, but the result of a slow northwards collapse of the edifice.
Seismic evidence suggests that Teide may be constructed over the head wall scarp of the in filled Icod Valley, a massive landslide valley formed by edifice failure in a similar manner to that of the Güímar and Orotava Valleys. The peak of the volcano emits sulfur dioxide and other gases as well as low levels of hydrogen sulfide through a number of small active fumaroles.
